Special Parents, Exceptional Children, Involved, Advocating, Learning.
Founded in 2008 by Angela Fish, SPECIAL Families of Pierce County is a parent support group for families with special needs children in the south Puget Sound region.
Our goals are:
-to network
-strengthen our special needs community
-learn from one another and expert speakers
-better advocate for our children
We are a family support group inclusive of diagnosis. We encourage professionals and interested community members to also join. Currently a majority of our families are dealing with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, ADD/ADHD, and other diagnoses.
